We are currently recruiting for the position of a Waqf Marketing Manager (WMM), who will play a key role towards the overall management of Waqf marketing in IRW. This includes managing relations with the Partners with regard to Waqf, designing appropriate model for raising fund for Waqf, managing the investment of Waqf fund, contributing to the selection of projects to be funded by Waqf and promoting Waqf across the organisation. Part of this will also include responsibility for providing support to ME, EM and partners and ensure they have the required Waqf marketing material for undertaking effective fundraising campaigns for Waqf. The successful candidate must be highly proficient in spoken and written Arabic and English. Arabic, as should be noted, is essential for this role.
The role will lead on the development of strategies and business plans for the WMU and ensure they are implemented. This leadership will also extend to developing a traditional and digital marketing strategy for online presence through website and social media channels in both languages; English and Arabic. Furthermore, s/he will also be responsible for promoting Waqf and its sustainable impact on the social and economic development through arranging conferences and attending relevant events worldwide. This includes traveling abroad to meet donors in various locations.
It is essential that the candidate has a university degree (preferably in management, marketing or investment) withproven knowledge and experience in the charity sector, Waqf/Endowment, and fundraising. Post-graduate academic or professional qualification (from CIM etc.) in Marketing, Management, and Fundraising or Islamic investment is considered to be desirable. Coupled withproven knowledge and experience of marketing management, the post holder must have considerable knowledge of the Islamic rulings about Waqf. Furthermore, s/he is also expected to have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
