Islamic Relief Worldwide are looking to recruit a ICT Junior Support Technician who will be responsible to provide 1st line support to all staff at the location by answering and logging support calls. In additional, duties will include managing, troubleshooting, and supporting problems with workstations laptops, telephones and authorised software installed. The job holder will work closely with the ICT Team to solve problems, introduce new solutions and maintain ICT systems and assets. As the position develops the Technician will support the ICT team members to support the services provided by the IRW global data centres
The successful candidate should have experience of software propagation methods and working towards MCITP qualification, together with an excellent understanding of the workings of computers and laptops. The job holder should be customer service focused, and able to behave in a positive manner encouraging customers to give feedback on the ICT services and to grasp new technical concepts quickly. The successful candidate should be willing to travel sometimes within the UK.
