Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of an ICT Desktop Support Technician (DTS). The role will be responsible for providing assistance in the provision of 1st line and 2nd Line IT support. This would include responsibility for documenting the outcomes using the ticketing system and analysing queries. The role requires the post holder to make decisions on a daily basis to resolve customer queries. The post holder also works to assist the ICT team members in the delivery of small projects, and to ensure all ICT services are implemented according to organisational processes and current best practice. The post-holder must also be able to work occasional late shifts for planned events, e.g. onsite and remote support during live appeals.
It is essential that the candidate has CompTIA A+ certification with experience in Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Office 365 administration. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and an excellent understanding of the workings of computers and laptops. The candidate must have the ability to develop and acquire new skills, and be able to travel nationally to offices and shops, for work purposes. Previous experience of software propagation methods (unattended installation, MS SMS, etc.) and Microsoft Windows Server Update Services, Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services & Microsoft Windows Deployment Services is advantageous.
