The Academy of a leading international NGO seeks an International Training Manager to liaise with their country offices across the world and to coordinate training. Having identified learning needs, these are to be matched with appropriate, relevant and cost effective learning programmes to ensure overseas staff have the knowledge and skills to perform effectively.
This job also involves course design and delivery, development and maintenance of the e-learning Portal, evaluation of training and reporting on a regular basis. The post holder will ensure that learning interventions are prioritised in line with identified needs.
When overseas delivery of training is agreed with a country office, the jobholder will oversee the logistics and coordinate the required trainers, which can be any mix of Academy or in-house trainers or external consultants. Online courses are also deployed, to enable equitable international access to learning despite geographical distance, so the post holder will manage, develop and improve the extensive e-learning portal.
Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the principles and methods for training design, practical instruction and facilitation of both small and large groups. The successful candidate will have experience of successfully developing and running learning interventions and sessions amongst different cultures that are proven to be effective. The successful candidate will have experience within the humanitarian sectorAn excellent level of computer literacy is needed along with excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
