Working in over 40 countries, the Academy of a leading international NGO seeks a Deputy Head of Learning & Development / Commercial Training Manager. As Deputy Head, and working closely with the Head of Learning & Development, this role is to ensure all IR staff globally have equitable access to the learning they need to perform in their roles to the best of their ability. As Commercial Training Manager, s/he will promote IR Academy sustainability by promoting Learning and Development activities to external customers/organisations and building relationships which provide the Academy with steady income. Leading on income-generating learning and development and consultancy interventions, the jobholder will work closely with the Academy’s Business Development department to address commercial opportunities and manage the delivery of the training required to fulfil contracts.
The successful candidate will have experience in the humanitarian sector and will be a credible manager and trainer able to deliver engaging and participative training to both small and large groups. The job holder will have designed and delivered courses in English and in Arabic and will preferably have done so overseas. The successful candidate will have experience of successfully developing and running learning interventions and sessions that are proven to be effective. The successful candidate will have an excellent level of computer literacy and excellent written and spoken English and Arabic and ideally also French.
