We are currently looking for a Global Strategy Project Manager based in Birmingham, UK. The Global Strategy Project Manager will work under the direction of the CEO, supported by the Strategy Team, collaborating closely with the senior management team and their departments to manage the implementation, deployment and pro-active monitoring of IRW’s organisational strategy, which is dynamic, inclusive of IRW’s partners, stakeholder focussed and regularly reviewed and updated. S/he will lead on the planning and implementation of the 2016-21 Islamic Relief Global Strategy.
The Global Strategy Project Manager will establish project management protocols and reporting frameworks for the Global Strategy Project in line with the balanced score card system for performance management. The job holder will ensure change management processes are embedded to improve cross-organisational working arrangements. The post holder will ensure that restructuring changes brought about to support strategic change are embedded and staff are briefed clearly around the objectives and work packages required.
The successful candidate will have experience of successfully implementing performance management systems preferably within an international NGO. The successful candidate will have a sound confidential approach to work, where discretion is maintained at all times and have a highly collaborative approach with a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to work with colleagues and other departments in support of organisational objectives. The post holder will have experience of managing large multi-stakeholder projects through tools such as Prince2 for humanitarian sector. The candidate will be Computer literate. In addition to this the candidate will have excellent fluent written and spoken English; a working knowledge of Arabic and/or French is preferred. The job holder will have excellent inter-personal skills and proven ability to influence senior managers..
