Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of a Head of Programmes Afghanistan, who will provide strategic leadership and expertise to the programme. The candidate will ensure the programme meets Islamic Relief Quality Standards and provide timely and high quality proposals and reports to donors.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Substantial years of experience of working with various International NGOs in developing countries.
- An in depth understanding of national and international development issues in particulate in relation to community development.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, sensitivity to other people’s views and perspective, and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of foreign languages i.e English, local country language i.e Dari or Pashtu
- Knowledge/familiarity with the country/region.
