Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of a Child Protection and Inclusion Coordinator. The Child Protection and Inclusion Coordinator will work closely and be managed by Child Protection and Inclusion Advisor (CPIA) in the context of IRW international strategy, SDG’s and ‘Leave no one behind’ agenda, with the aim to support and be responsible for the development and preparation of the Child Protection and safeguarding initiatives. This would involve engaging in the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on progress of child protection projects with Islamic Relief country offices building on our faith identity and ensuring the faith perspective needs are considered. The role will also include when needed to ensure support of country offices through developing and delivering training, coordinating learning, bid support and networking. The role will require deputise for the CPIA in its absence.
It is essential that the candidate has experience in grant management with good knowledge of current sector in relation to protection mainstreaming and inclusion with a focus on Child Protection. Along with experience of writing and communicating learning effectively (internally and externally), the position holder must have the ability to synthesis data and information effectively. The candidate must have the ability, motivation, and willingness to travel for up to 30% of the year. This role requires a proactive approach with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
