Salary:£44,292 per annum

IRW is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Leadership & Succession Project Manager’ to join its dynamic team on a 12 months fixed term contract based in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently working to a hybrid working model.

This position is responsible for IRW’s Global Succession strategy including the development and management of the leadership development scheme (the identification, development, and retention of the top talent of the organisation), to ensure that the Islamic Relief’s has an abundance of internal talent that has been prepared and is ready to take up key critical roles that are made vacant due to their natural progression. The role holder will be responsible for setting organisational standards for succession across IRW and ensuring that best practice is imbedding across IRW.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • Proven experience of leading on succession planning and leadership development
  • Proven record of excellent people and interpersonal skills with strong communication skills at individual and group levels. This includes ability to engage within a multicultural environment.
  • Able to discuss career-pathing options with high-potential employees and Directors
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing strategies and work plans which help to deliver the wider organisational objectives.
  • Proven ability and experience in analysing data which enables sound conclusion and recommendations to be drawn.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to respond to a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ability and motivation to travel within UK and internationally is required
