The Academy of a leading international aid charity seeks a Learning and Development Co-ordinator. The role will directly manage the quality of commercial training in the MENA region and, when appropriate, will contribute to course delivery. He/she will also engage in business development in the region.
This role is primarily to coordinate the Learning & Development (L&D) department’s commercial initiative in the Arabic Gulf and wider MENA region. It involves influential leadership and extensive management to coordinate courses, trainers, venues, materials, logistics, etc.; training design and, when needed, training delivery; sourcing reputable trainers and courses; evaluation and reporting on a regular basis to the Head of L&D. The job is also to contribute to business development through extensive liaison with influential people and decision-makers within the region.
The Learning and Development Coordinator will lead this initiative and act as a role model for IR Academy income generation. The role will be in the vanguard of L&D’s business development and of establishing a positive profile. As a fluent Arabic speaker familiar with the Middle East, this role will regularly liaise with contacts in the region, including CEOs, senior managers and other VIPs. This liaison will focus on fulfilling commercial training commitments but also, longer term, on seeking new income generation opportunities.
Candidates should be confident and highly organised with a natural communication skill and experience in L&D coordination. The successful candidate will have an excellent level of computer literacy and excellent written and spoken English. The job holder will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills along with sensitivity to the culture of the MENA region. The candidate will have knowledge of a wide range of fundraising mechanisms preferably in MENA region.
