IRW is currently recruiting for the position of Partner Development Coordinator to join its dynamic Network and Resource Development Division.
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement strategies to increase the funding income of Islamic Relief through a range of fundraising initiatives and through acquisition & retention of donors and supporters working in partnership with them to maximise impact, cost-effective delivery and ensure all activity complies with organisational and legal requirements. The postholder will also provide comprehensive support to the local partners, or fundraisers and IR volunteers in the various countries where Partner Development operates to fulfil objectives, including countries where IR has no presence ensuring that partnerships are built across the globe.
The successful candidate must have or be:
• Significant voluntary or professional fundraising experience
• Experience of delivery of outcomes through others – peers, volunteers or staff – in a professional or voluntary context
• Working understanding of the legal requirements affecting community-based fundraising
• Broad understanding of fundraising techniques and the specific value, role and techniques utilised within Community Fundraising activity
• Experience of budgeting and use of KPOs to monitor and manage financial performance
• Ability to work outside an office environment and manage remote relationships
• Understanding of the motivational and management needs of volunteers
• Well developed interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as well as build relationships with people of all backgrounds, levels and settings including business, social and educational
