Our Birmingham, UK office is recruiting for the position on ‘Editorial Communications Coordinator’ to join our Marketing Department. The department responsibilities include brand protection and reputation management; international media relations and advocacy; IWF’s website, publications and social media platforms; internal communications; and staff training.
The post holder will be responsible for producing multi-channel editorial and communications content for the International Waqf Fund website, external and internal publications, social media and advocacy campaigns. The role involves providing editorial and general communications support to colleagues within the Division of the organisation’s international office in Birmingham.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Demonstrable experience of producing regular multi-channel editorial and communications content to a high standard, particularly for websites and external publications, for different audiences
- Strong journalistic skills, with a proven ability to initiate story and content ideas, gather information professionally and sensitively, and produce articles from initial idea to final product
- Project management experience, with proven ability to manage multiple projects on tight and changeable schedules
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English and a strong eye for detail
- Strong team working skills with ability to collaborate on projects and connect genuinely with people from a wide range of backgrounds
