Islamic Relief Worldwide are currently recruiting for the position of a Graduate Trainee – in the Microfinance Unit in our International Programmes Division.. As a Graduate Trainee you will developed to possess the competence to work in the area of regulatory compliance, operations management, financial and social performance analysis and financial technology. You will acquire and use best practice to conceptualise, coordinate and support the development of microfinancial services, applying theoretical knowledge and skills within a practical and complex work environment.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- A 2:1 Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Islamic Finance & Banking, Development Studies, Economics, Business/Management etc.) within the last two years.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt oral and written communication methods and styles to suit the audience
- Ability to apply intellectual rigor and understanding, analyse, interpret, explain and summarise complex data and issues in a logical manner.
- Ability to travel to the field for up to 4 months throughout the year and work in challenging environments (Travel expenses and accommodation will be paid).
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
