Can you respond to an emergency situation implementing international cluster quality standards?
Islamic Relief are looking to recruit an Emergency Response Coordinator who will assist the Head of Programmes and overall management, implementation and development of the emergency preparedness and response component of the Somalia Country Programme. The candidate will be expected to develop plans for emergency responses and monitor early warnings as well as lead rapid needs assessments.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Bachelor’s Degree in DRR, Development, Humanitarian Response or a related subject.
- Substantial experience with a humanitarian agency and in complex emergencies.
- Experience of managing people projects through remote management.
- Excellent written and spoken English and local language.
- Experience of working in Somalia
