Global Internal Auditor (Middle East and Eastern Europe)

Salary: £26,112 per annum + Additional Benefits

Location: Middle East Region

We are currently recruiting an International Internal Auditor who will frequently travel to field offices across the region. The Global Internal Auditor discharges work that supports IRW’s Audit Committee in providing independent assurance to the IRW Board on the state of the control environment and risk management arrangements within IRW. The work undertaken covers risk and audit assessments across the various areas of the organisation and the organisation as a whole. The International internal auditor will be part of the Internal Audit department. The post holder will carry out independent appraisals of the effectiveness of controls in all Islamic Relief offices however a specialism in Middle East Field Offices (e.g. including Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Tunisia, Kosovo, Albania and Chechnya)i – the priority will be the Middle East but will include further travel if needed).

The Global Internal Auditor will add value by acting as a facilitator in risk management and other duties, thereby assisting Islamic Relief.

The successful candidate will be part or fully recognised professional qualification (same as or equivalent to) CIMA, (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants), ACCA (Certified Chartered Accountant), CIIA (Institute of Internal Auditors). The candidate will have knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, and test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits. The individual must have the ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports. The Global Internal Auditor is expected to travel to Islamic Relief field offices across the region. This may be on short notice and such visits could realistically last from several days to several weeks. Depending on circumstances, it is envisioned the post holder will be required to travel for approximately six months per calendar year.

Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic.
