Islamic Relief Worldwide is currently recruiting for the position of a Grants Administrator located in Birmingham, UK. The Grants Administrator will report to the “Deputy Director, Global Programme Operations” and will be based in IRW Head Quarter, Birmingham. The administrator, a proactive individual is sought to be responsible for providing administrative support to regional desks i.e. Asia, East and West Africa, and Middle East, Eastern Europe and North Africa regions in order to facilitate their work in relation to grants agreements initiation and documentation which require communication with other departments and seniors manager to obtain necessary approvals. The grants administrator will work with other regional team members including the Heads of Regions and Regional Desk coordinators/Officers.
It is essential that the candidate has a professional qualification in humanitarian/development studies a business management degree would be desirable. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of international development issues Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. It is essential oral and written communication skills in English and the candidate will have adequate administrative experience. A proven track record of working in a similar role with an International NGO is preferable.
