Islamic Relief Worldwide are recruiting for an experienced International HR Manager who will lead the International HR Services Unit, provide required HR support, guidance and advice to international program in IRW (Expatriate staff) and worldwide offices. The role will lead and oversee all deliverables of the HR Services related to International HR support function. S/he will manage international staff recruitment, immigration compliance, global staff screening, compliance with data protection standards and other legal/benchmarked standards in order to ensure IRW is clear of staff with any illegal, criminal, fraudulent or terrorist background, hence protecting the organisation from legal and reputational risks.

The International HR Manager will be accountable for the delivery of all international HR work-streams within IPD and international IR offices. The job holder will lead on the implementation of key aspects of the unit’s work plans, systems, processes, policies and strategies. The post holder will also play a key role in enabling the organisation to manage and improve staff well-being by directly contributing to the wellbeing agenda. The job holder will support line managers in dealing with employee relation cases i.e. disciplinary, grievance and performance.

The successful candidate should have a degree in a management or social science related field, preferably in HRM or Business Studies. A post graduate qualification will be an advantage. A CIPD or equivalent professional qualification is required, although extensive and relevant HR experience may be considered. The successful candidate will have HR leadership experience across multiple countries with experience of working within a complex and matrix organisation structure. The post holder will have proven experience of developing and implementing strategies and work plans which help to deliver the wider organisational objectives. The post holder will be willing to travel to and stay in remote locations and in difficult terrains. The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing a variety of broad administrative and employee relation services in a large organisation, especially in the NGO sector.
