An excellent opportunity has arisen in Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) for an experienced and exceptionally talented individual to join the programme department as the Domestic Programmes Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the post holders will be responsible for developing, leading and managing all aspects of the UK programmes portfolio. This will involve working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, implementation and monitoring of IRUK funded programmes; establishing and leading regional steering groups and developing partnerships to enable community-based initiatives. The successful candidates will also play a key role in developing and implementing departmental strategic objectives.
The Successful Candidate:
– A graduate degree or experience in UK development/ charity sector
– Extensive service or programme management experience within the UK context
– Knowledge and ability to set up and manage effective data collection, stakeholder feedback, evaluation and monitoring systems
– Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies including service development and bid writing activities
– In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of working with community groups and/or partnerships
– Excellent communication skills with experience in liaising with multiple stakeholders
– Effective budgetary control and grant management
– Strong and well developed analytical and research skills
– Excellent interpersonal and team work skills/Volunteer coordination experience
