We are currently recruiting for a STRIDE Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the effective delivery of STRIDE project as per set objectives and optimum utilization of project budget by applying the concept of “value for money” in Asia. The Project Coordinator will lead on rolling out capacity building plan for IR’s Disaster Response Team (Asia) and local partners’ staff. Position holder will also be supporting Humanitarian Focal Points (HFPs) and local partners in implementing their Capacity Strengthening Trajectories. S/he will support the Disaster Preparedness and Response Coordinator (DPRC) in overseeing effective financial management of the STRIDE project and local partners project grant/s and activities. The post holder will ensure that the project interventions are integrated, well-coordinated and useful in contributing to overall project objective.
The successful candidate must have a degree in project management International development, social science or any relevant field. Experience can substitute for a formal qualification but not vice versa. The post holder will have substantial experience of project management with International NGO (s) in humanitarian settings – preferably at international level and work experience in culturally diverse contexts. The candidate will have demonstrated experience of disaster preparedness and working with local partners preferably on humanitarian capacity building. S/he will also have well developed IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft office in particular Microsoft Word & Excel. Excellent English, written and spoken is essential. Knowledge of a foreign language is desirable.
