JOB SUMMARY

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the media officer's job is to document all project activities through photography and videos after obtaining filming approvals from beneficiaries, filming success stories, creating the required designs and advertisements, and maintaining a positive work environment.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Assist in developing annual and monthly plans.

• High coordination with project officers and other departments to meet all media documentation requirements.

• High coordination with the department manager internally to achieve and implement all work requirements.

• Participate with the department manager in developing the monthly plan and working on its implementation.

• Archiving and saving media documentation and sending it to the project manager.

• Publishing written and visual reports in newspapers, magazines, and channels interested in the organization’s work.

• Follow-up on the organization’s news and activities on its website and pages, and provide media development proposals.

• Raise daily, weekly, and monthly work reports to the project manager.

• Complete and immediate media documentation (photographs - video clips - interviews with stakeholders - filming human stories and success stories - media reports) for all office activities he works in.

• Rapid media response in emergency cases.

• Perform other work tasks requested by the project manager

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

• A university degree or institute or equivalent technology certificates.

• At least 2 years in the same field of work.

• Good experience in using all tools necessary for work (digital cameras - sound devices … etc.).

• Strong knowledge and commitment to humanitarian work standards.

• Commitment to human rights and community approach.

• The ability to work within a team under pressure and respond to changing needs

• Priority for applicants within the work areas.

Language

  • fluent in English & fluent in Arabic (written and spoken are a must).

IT skills

  • Excellent computer skills .
  • Proficiency in the internet and search tools.
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel and word are a must)
