IRW’s Treasury team that sits within its Finance Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Financial Compliance Officer’ to be based from its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently working to a hybrid working model.
The Financial Compliance Officer will support the deliverables of the treasury team. They will be responsible for supporting the Financial Compliance Manager in ensuring the organisation's adherence to financial regulations and policies.
The role requires conducting regular due diligence checks, creating informative dashboards for management, and demonstrating proficiency in using Microsoft applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. In particular, the role will involve processing and reporting upon screening for all third-party partnerships, cash Rightsholders and ad-hoc screening requests from various stakeholders.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Understands the need for confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and correspondence.
- Strong Logical and Analytical skills.
- Legal expertise: Understanding of laws, regulations, and reputational implications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using due diligence tools, such as financial analysis software, market research databases, and legal research tools.
- Good all-round business acumen and an understanding of finance.
