IRW’s International Programmes Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Operations Manager - Yemen’ to join its dynamic Finance team based in Sanaa, Yemen. The Operations Manager is a member of the country’s management team (CMT) and is responsible for all operations functions in Yemen including IT, Administration, Procurement, Logistics. The post holder ensures compliance with donor regulations as well as IRY internal policies and procedures, updates local manuals and policies, and builds the capacity of local operations team members. The post holder also provides support and advises the Country Director and other team members on operational issues, including proposal/budget development.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Master education or bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other relevant field
- Professional Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain or any other relevant field
- Extensive management experience in Procurement/logistics management.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position at senior management in an INGO preferably on an international assignment.
- Significant experience in procurement and tender processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, power point and Outlook
- Good command in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent staff management and personnel skills
- Experience of operating ERP systems such as AX
